Detailed Description:
The Reverend Louis Dold is credited with the original design of a small stone church for the Redemptorist order missions and spiritual retreat. Changed to a parish church in 1881 and modified by architect Thomas Waryng Walsh in 1893 with steeple from 1894 by Conradi & Schrader, St. Alphonsus Liguori ("Rock Church") is located at 1118 North Grand Boulevard.
