Description:    Born in New Bedford, MA, Robert S. Peabody received his architectural degree from Harvard University in 1866, and a masterĀ“s in architecture in 1870. He formed a partnership Peabody & Stearns in 1870 in Boston, and came to St. Louis about 1877 to design the Unitarian Church of Messiah (1879) at Locust & Garrison Sts.; Museum of Fine Arts; Turner Building; St. Louis Club (1884), and Security Building (1890)
