Name:    Spink, Charles
Born/Started:    1863
Died/Ended:     Apr. 22, 1914
Description:    Charles Spink took over publication of The Sporting News from his brother, Al, in 1894. The newspaper was devoted strictly to baseball during his leadership. He also published the trade publications Sporting Goods Dealer and Toys and Novelties. When he died in 1914, his estate was estimated at $1,000,000.
