Name:    Bulkey, Mary Ezit
Born/Started:    1856
Died/Ended:    1946
Description:    Mary Ezit Bulkey was a founding member of the Wednesday Club, which started as a method of cultural enrichment and learning and expanded into social activism. She was also active in the Ethical Culture movement (today´s Ethical Society) and the Women´s Trade Union League of St. Louis. She was one of 10 women who met in 1910 to organize the St. Louis Equal Suffrage League (ESL). She was also a writer, composing a play titled, "The Trial: What´s the Constitution Among Friends." Bulkey was also an artist and a founder and first president of the Municipal Art League.
