Description:    Florence Wyman Richardson was elected as the first president of the St. Louis Equal Suffrage League (ESL). The ESL met at the Cabanne Branch Library in the West End and mounted an educational campaign about suffrage through lectures, newspapers, and citywide demonstrations.
