Name:    Couzins, Adaline
Description:    Adaline Couzins was an active member of the LadiesĀ“ Union Aid Society (LUAS) and braved sub-zero temperatures during the Civil War to search for missing wounded in southwest Missouri battlefields. She and another volunteer, Arethusa Forbes, were able to locate hundreds of soldiers and bring them to St. Louis hospitals. After the war she helped initiate the Womens Suffrage movement.
