History:
"StrassbergerĀ“s Conservatory is a rare example of a building type important to the cultural life of St. Louis in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was patented after German conservatories familiar to many St. Louisians who had recently emigrated from Germany. It was part of an effort to preserve their traditions of forming singing societies, bands, orchestras and other musical societies."
