Name:  Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church
Address:  1220 Reverend George Pruitt Place
History:
In 1866, Pleasant Green was established when small groups of church members began holding home prayer meetings, under the guidance of the Reverend Thomas E. Napier. The church had many locations throughout its history. It bought its current location, a former synagogue at West End Avenue and Page Boulevard, in 1945.

For many years, the church held an Easter baptismal ceremony on the banks of the Mississippi River.
