History:
The Ackley building (also known as the Finney Building) is one of the few remaining cast iron structures in the downtown area.

The building has three bays. The columns are a composite order derived from Corinthian. Windows on the upper two stories are originals. Alterations from the original include changes to the windows of the middle two stories, removal of the cornice and a change in the flooring. It is unknown if the original floor exists underneath, though it would be a very important survivor if it did. It became part of the Old May Company Department Store (now 555 Washington).
