Name:    Gamble, Archibald
Born/Started:     Jan. 14, 1794
Description:    Early Lafayette Square landowner and Judge, as well as 9th postmaster of St. Louis, son-in-law to Rufus Easton, who was appointed 1st postmaster of St. Louis in 1805 by Thomas Jefferson. Archibald was older brother of Hamilton R. Gamble, provisional Governor of Missouri during the Civil War.
