Name: Falcon Products
Description: In 1958, Franklin A. Jacobs founded Falcon Products to manufacture furniture and equipment for the hospitality industry. He started with $500 and no employees, although it was backed by other investors. Its first headquarters was at the corner of Broadway and Franklin.
Jacobs´ first product was a pedestal table base that he sold to restaurant equipment distributors. He expanded into other products and also began to supply and distribute the manufactured products.
Today, Falcon builds and installs entire restaurant interiors. It has acquired several other companies over the years, including Kaydee Metal Products, the Charlotte Company, Howe Furniture and Décor Concepts. Falcon has operations all over Europe, as well as the United States, and has 4,000 employees worldwide. [St. Louis-Home on the River, p. 345, www.falconproducts.com/abouttheco.html]
