Stix, on how to succeed in such a large and prosperous city. In 1892 they opened their first Stix, Baer, and Fuller store. Within five years they expanded into larger quarters. In 1952, Stix became a member of the New York Stock Exchange. In 1973, the retail establishment expanded into Kansas City, and eventually into Springfield, Illinois.
