KMOX, a CBS radio station, began in December 1925 and quickly established itself as an innovative station. It was the first radio station to endorse a political candidate, and the first to air a talk show about community issues. The station has an excellent reputation for covering sports as well as news programming. It has won numerous awards for broadcasting including several Peabody awards for investigative journalism.
