Description:    August Busch III is the son of August Busch Jr. He headed the Anheuser-Busch Brewery from 1977 until 2002. Under his leadership, the company opened three new breweries and acquired one; introduced numerous beer products to meet changing consumer preferences; acquired SeaWorld, making A-B one of the largest theme park operators in the country; launched the largest brewery expansion projects in company history; and diversified into international brewing and marketing, container recovery, metalized label printing and creative services.

Busch remains chairman of the board of Anheuser-Busch. He also is a director of Emerson Electric Co. and SBC Communications Inc.
