Description:    Eddy L. Harris is the author of many books detailing his experiences when traveling in Africa, southern United States, and Harlem. He lives in St. Louis, but has canoed the entire length of the Mississippi, spent two years in Harlem, and traveled in the Deep Southern part of the U.S. His books include Mississippi Solo, Native Stranger: A Black Man´s Journey into the Heart of Africa, and South of Haunted Dreams: A Ride Through Slavery´s Old Back Yard. Harris was born in St. Louis and attended St. Louis Priory High School.
