Description:    An Irish priest who lived in St. Louis during the Civil War and went to battle with regiments serving the Confederacy, Fr. Bannon helped build St. John´s Catholic Church in St. Louis where he served in the Archdiocese of St. Louis under Archbishop Peter Kenrick, a fellow son of Ireland.
