Description:    Redd Foxx, a native St. Louisan, has scores of records, theater, and television appearances to his credit. He is best remembered as the character Fred Sanford in the "Sanford and Son" television series and is internationally renowned as a comedian. In 1977, he published The Redd Foxx Encyclopedia of Black Humor. Redd Foxx Lane in St. Louis is named in his honor.
