Brief Description:  The St. Louis Ethical Society was founded by Martha Fischel in 1886. This was 10 years after the first Society for Ethical Culture was established in New York. The Ethical Society continues to operate as an ethics-centered religious community "creating a world in which all people choose to live ethically."
