Event: St. Louis Womens Trade Union League Founded Brief Description: In 1907, Hannah Hennessey founded the St. Louis Women´s Trade Union League. The organization spearheaded efforts to organize wage-earning women in St. Louis. Women comprised 20% of the nation´s workforce and there were 6,000 women in St. Louis factories in 1907.
