  Kingshighway Commission chartered
Brief Description:  The Kingshighway Commission was created as a result of former Mayor Rolla Wells´ desire to create an "attractive boulevard and pleasure drive" that would stretch the entire length of the city, linking Forest Park with O´Fallon Park on the north and Tower Grove and Carondelet Parks to the south. Kansas City architect George Kessler was hired to supervise the project.
