Event:  Anheuser buys brewery

Brief Description:  Eberhard Anheuser buys the Bavarian Brewing Company and changes its name to the Anheuser Brewing Company. His son-in-law, Adolphus Busch, began working at the brewery in 1864 and they formed a partnership in 1879. The name of the brewery was changed to the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association.
