Event:  Hernando DeSoto´s 1541 Mississippi River Crossing
Brief Description:  In 1541 Hernando DeSoto Discovers the Mississippi River in Illinois and Crosses over to the Show Me State somewhere just South of St. Louis. The Archaeological Evidence to prove it can be found in Washington County all over the town of Potosi. Please help us convince the Governor and the Missouri SHPO that this Discovery is truly worth the effort to Preserve and protect for future generations.
