Event:  Community Development Agency (CDA) Created

Brief Description:  With the passage of Ordinance 56708, The Community Development Agency (CDA) was created to take advantage of the new federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program that provides annual "entitlement" funding in place of categorical grants. The CDA was a successor to the City Plan Commission and, prior to that, the Civic League.
