  Regional Industrial Development Council Founded
Brief Description:  The RCGA was founded in 1964 as the Regional Industrial Development Council (RIDC), a nongovernmental group chartered to further economic growth in the St. Louis area. It performed functions previously carried out by the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. In 1973, the RIDC was folded into a newly formed regional Commerce and Growth Association.
