Event: Pageant & Masque is Held Brief Description: The Pageant and Masque of St. Louis was staged in Forest Park in 1914. Designed to foster civic unity, it was the largest gathering in St. Louis since the World´s Fair of 1904. The Pageant & Masque was a historical drama celebrating St. Louis´ past. It was held in the natural ampitheater of Art Hill in Forest Park. There were 7,700 people in the cast, and the production was seen by 455,000 people over 5 nights.
