Event:  Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Created
Category:  Planning and Development
Brief Description:  City Ordinance 57742 in 1979 established the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), pursuant to Chapter 349 of the Missouri Revised Statutes. The IDA could issue tax-exempt bonds, but could not authorize tax abatements. Tom McGinn served as legal council and Nancy Van Dillen as administrator.
